Brian is Member of ITFFA Irish International Rivers Fly Fishing Team 2012. His home club is North Kildare Trout and Salmon anglers association based in Newbridge Co Kildare, Ireland. This club has fishing rights on the River Liffey above and below Newbridge. He has been a member of this club since he was a young boy and learned to fish here. North Kildare Trout and Salmon club has a strong tradition of producing International Anglers with over ten members who have fished internationally. It is this tradition and high skills level of its anglers that has driven me to become a successful and dedicated River Fly Fisherman and Fly Tier.
In Brian words: « I have recently received the Thinkfish Bold reel and Sports Prima glasses. The Bold reel is invaluable for taking in slack line quickly when you need to. I now cannot get used to any other reel. Especially so when nymph fishing. I immediately look for the handle to take the line in when I need to. The glasses are great also! I now keep them on even in low light conditions. The lens colour seems to bring objects up more clearly for me. Strongly recommended……… »
Brian will be competing in Scotland, River Tay, Friday June 28th 2012.

Competitive fly fisherman and Orvis endorsed contracted fly designer. Kevin Griffin has been fishing Georgia’s lakes, rivers, and streams over 35 years. His fly fishing addiction led him to join Team Dead Drift (Georgia’s competitive fly fishing team). Kevin competes in tournaments throughout the year and is currently the fly tying instructor for the team. He is contracted through Orvis as a fly designer and currently has two flies (Griffin’s stimicator, and Griffin’s candy caddis) that are marketed and sold through Orvis.
In regards to the thinkfish bold reel……………….Truly a marvel of technology. The reel is solid, very well designed, and provides many benefits that you simply don’t have with traditional reels. Through the use of rodbolding and linebolding I can see a lot more fish entering my net in the future. He can’t wait to put it to use in future tournaments.
