Protection

Eyes can be damaged by two different aspects: exposure time and repetition. Just as being exposed to the sun for a short period of time does not require the use of high factor sun creams for the skin, normal or polarised sunglasses can be used for short periods of exposure. However, if eyes are exposed for several hours without suitable protection then watering, irritation or stinging may occur. Moreover, like the skin, eyes remember. If continued exposure without suitable protection is repeated, retinal problems may result, even cataracts in extreme cases. This damage is starting to be seen in increasingly younger people and probability increases with repeated exposure.

In a strategic alliance with Multilens®, Thinkfish® has introduced the Thinkfish Eyes line of glasses for fishing on the market. In 1987 Multilens started to develop specific filters to absorb harmful light using ML Filter technology, which blocks the whole ultraviolet range (UVB, UVA) as well as Blue Light wavelengths. It was subsequently shown that blocking these problematic frequencies improves object contrast, visual sharpness and comfort. Suitable polarisation for light with a frequency of more than 400 nanometres makes these fishing glasses the most protective and effective on the market. Thinkfish includes filters with a minimum cut-off point of 400 nm in all its glasses.

Improved vision

High protection is necessary, but on its own is not enough for recreational fishing. That's why Thinkfish® has gone one step further than polarisation, considering Improved Vision to be a key concept for fishing enthusiasts. In order to achieve this improvement in vision, Thinkfish Eyes include the Multilens Multilayer technology, improving both definition and contrast and allowing glasses to be worn all day. Because it is precisely when less natural light is available or in shaded areas that their effectiveness truly comes to the fore.

Characteristics

ANTI-GLARE
The ML Prima multi-layer anti-glare treatment gets rid of the glare caused by reflected sunlight. Light FROM THE SUN is reflected ONTO THE LENS, producing bothersome glare that can affect the eyes and limit the fisherman's chances. Our technology effectively blocks this reflection.

POLARISED
Light reflects on the water, producing bothersome glare that significantly limits vision and reduces the fisherman's chances. Our polarised technology effectively blocks water reflection. Protection and improved vision. Sensitivity to contrast and comfort.

ORGANIC LENSES
This advanced technology is combined with the safety offered by light, non-breakable organic lenses.

MULTI-LAYER TECHNOLOGY
Thinkfish Eyes technology is the result of combining nine layers of the best filters and treatments available for optic glass, specially designed for efficient recreational fishing.

ML Filter protection, ML Polafilter polarisation and ML Prima and ML Dura treatment (anti-glare, anti-scratch) act on the most important differential factor: the transmission or amount of light reaching the eye.
